Planning Commission

The first Planning Commission (PC) meeting was held in October of 1996. Members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a three-year term. The PC is an advisory board to the Board of Supervisors. The Planning Commission implements the Sylvan Commercial Ordinances (Commercial permitting).  The PC has also done work on the Sylvan Comprehensive Plan.

Residents of Sylvan Township are invited and encouraged to attend PC meetings on the 2nd Thursday evening of the month at 6:30/7:00 PM in the Town Hall.
